The Bergslagsgårdar Foundation is a non-profit foundation without profit interests. The foundation was established in 1986 and operates several forms of care within social work, such as consultant-supported foster care, sheltered apartments, training apartments, and collectively protected housing. The main office is in Örebro, with local offices in Karlstad and Västerås.

As a housing supporter at our protected accommodation Mejeriet, you contribute to the daily work, both administratively and practically.

About you:

You are passionate about the target group of women and children affected by violence. It is particularly important that you enjoy working with and have experience meeting children of various ages. You are attracted to working in a workplace where a lot happens and where you have varied tasks. You are creative, independent, and unpretentious.

Qualifications:

You have experience working with people and/or are studying towards a caring profession.

Meritorious:

• Previous experience working with the target group.
• Further education in the area of violence in close relationships and/or honor-related violence.
• Language skills.

Other conditions:

• The workplace is located in a way that usually requires commuting from home, and it is a requirement that you have access to your own car.
• The work is scheduled for weekends, evenings, and daytime. The work also includes on-call duties.
• Collective agreements are in place.
• Only female applicants are eligible for the position due to the nature of the work, but we strive for diversity in other respects.
